Raising the Sails: Fostering Staff and Student Success

To truly "Raise the Sails" for Alaska’s staff and students, we must secure the mast of psychological safety and educator wellness. This interactive, district-led session bridges the gap between whole-child support and daily practice. Featuring a collaborative panel of district practitioners and partners, we will explore how the Full-Color Web of Support™ framework can transform school climates. Participants will learn how "reversing the MTSS triangle" helps prevent staff burnout, how intentional co-regulation reduces stress, and how building caring connections shields students from trauma. Attendees will leave with a greater understanding of how to create supportive environments where connection—not compliance—drives staff and student success.
